The GFWC Paradise Valley Junior Team for March of Dimes had a great time April 8th as they participated in the 2017 March for Babies at Wesley Bolin Park. Our club allocated $100 to the club team. In addition to the $100 donated by the club, additional donations were made by the following club members. We are pleased to announce that our team exceeded its goal of $500, raising $502 for March of Dimes! It was truly rewarding to walk and help raise funds for March of Dimes – a GFWC Partner since the organization first began. Thank you to Paradise Valley Junior’s for their team effort and contributions!

The Making of a Ben’s Bell

posted Apr 29, 2017, 9:26 AM by Rachel Peterson

Laurie Carter, Arts CSP Chairman

On Sunday, April 2nd, 13 club members and one grandson attended our group event at the Ben’s Bells Studio in Phoenix. We listened to how the project began and how the mission has evolved. The community helps to make the wind chimes that are then hung up all around town to be found by others. This is their way of spreading and encouraging kindness. Our job was to paint clay flower forms that make up Ben’s Bells. The large clay flowers are a solid color and after they are fired, will turn bright colors. These flowers will be used in the “official” Ben’s Bell. The smaller flowers are used in various bells for the public to purchase.

When completing the online registration, sign up with the charity of your choice from a drop down menu.
