PNLIT on Mahindra Spark the Rise

Our project "PNLIT - Nurturing Puttenahalli Lake back to its pristine glory" 

is live on Mahindra Rise Spark the Rise (Round 4).

Mahindra is awarding 8 grants (Rs 4 lakh each) this month - 5 by popular vote and 3 by jury selection. 

The top two voted teams of each month make it to a grand finale 

where there are also 4 grand prizes (3 of Rs 20 lakh each and one of Rs 40 lakh). 

A grant from Mahindra would change things for PNLIT and our effort at nurturing Puttenahalli Lake. 

We need your vote to help win this much needed financial support.

We are very happy to inform you that our project “PNLIT - nurturing Puttenahalli Lake back to its pristine glory” has been cleared as an entry in the Mahindra Spark the Rise Project Championship.

People can vote, follow and support projects during the month long round. We are live in Round 4 (voting from 1 to 31 Dec 2011).  Projects that receive the most votes stand to gain financial support from Mahindra. 

We are the first citizens' group in Bangalore, India, to initiate restoration of a lake and then to formally maintain it. We have managed so far on voluntary donations from individual well wishers. A win in this innovative competition means a great deal to us and to the many people in the city who are trying to emulate our example and save a lake in their neighbourhood.
