There are many System Fusion Yahoo Groups but our repeater uses the ysfgateway developed by Jonathan Naylor, G4KLX

All of the software for the digital side of our repeater is here https://github.com/g4klx

We also discussed Hotspots.

Most commercially available Hotspots can use mmdvmhost for control.

One Hotspot that is being developed for DIY is the mmdvm_hs.

This can be built with a RF7021SE Module and a Blue Pill STM32Duino and here is a DIY Board to put it together

I will add to this list if I find anything else that is helpful.

Of course D-Star and Yaesu System Fusion are pretty easy to find information for.

If you would like to use Experimental Firmware with your MD-380.

Experimental MD380Tools - Travis Goodspeed, KK4VCZ if you want to use your own setup.

Pre-Built Firmware - Easiest route.

Virtualbox Appliance - to create your own. Note VHF doesn't have large enough space for user cps.

MD380Toolz - KG5RKI,Ty Weaver's version of MD380Tools - This version changes some features but is just a "derivative" of Travis Goodspeed's version. This is the easiest route and the one I recommend. (Currently this page is offline)

MD380Tools - Homepage of MD380Tools

I came across this page that has another way to install experimental firmware and explains the features of said firmware.

Modifications for Retevis RT3 / Tytera MD-380 (?)

The new repeater when installed is now going to have XLX reflectors for DMR.

To use them you make a private call to 64001 to 64027 and then to disconnect make a private call to 4000.

Once you connect you use the reflector via TG6.

XLX Reflector List

It will also be connected to Brandmeister as well as DMR+

DMR+ will be accessible via TG8

DMR+ Reflectors

DMR / NXDN Radio ID

You need a DMR or NXDN ID to use the respective systems and you can acquire one here.

https://www.radioid.net

or you can get there from here.

https://www.dmr-marc.net

Because of the limited number of IDs they prefer you only ask for 2.

You don't need an unique ID just for your hotspot.

GPS

If you have a radio with GPS on it you need to go to Brandmeister Selfcare account. If you don't then you need to get your Dstar.su Selfcare account first (You can now create your account without Dstar.su). Once you can logon to Brandmeister Selfcare you come to your account page. Click on Selfcare under your Callsign in the top right and you will be directed to your Selfcare settings. Set Radio Brand to "Chinese Radio" Set your preferred APRS interval (I would probably pick 180 seconds) Set your other settings to your preference then turn on "In Call GPS"

Then in your radio set your GPS TG to 310999. You will need to create a GPS Channel and associate any channel that you want to send APRS with.

Now if it is setup correctly, when you transmit on the repeater, you should show up on aprs.fi.

Good site to explain programming for TYT with GPS here.

Code Plug Video Presentation from above

The above is a very informative video presentation on programming DMR radios. It is 4 very long videos but well worth watching all 4. I learned quite a bit from these videos.

DMR reflector XLX950

XLX950⇗ is a Multi-protocol Gateway developer platform hosted by DVC, and provides a bridge between DMR and D-STAR. XLX950 talkgroups 4001 - 4026 are bridged to XRF950 modules A - Z:
