Chamela Helpdia Charitable Trust is a non-government organisation founded in 2016 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. My Role

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Creating visual concepts that inspire, inform, and transform
Using industry-leading tools to build innovative design projects and discovering the skills needed to become an in-demand visual thinker and communicator
Building a solid foundation in the elements of design: typography, colour and layout
Exploring the design process to visualize compelling ideas

Experience

The internship was unpaid and done from home. The working hours were very flexible. Around 88 other interns were also hired for this role. My role as a graphic designer, as in everyone's case, lasted from 5 June 2023 to 5 July 2023.

We were given an incident or an event, and told to make posters on it. The focus was primarily on quantity rather than quality. In the case of making posters asking for donations, we were given a QR code that we had to add in the posters, so that the users can scan that code to give donation. Some examples of the events where we had to make posters to ask for donation included a milk distribution program, Balasore train accident and the Ukraine war. We were asked to keep making posters on the given topic until the next one gets announced.
