May 2018 update: The SWG is just now kicking off a one-year process to revise the recommended list of study topics and questions for the third solicitation round.
The most current list of study topics was approved by the SWG in June 2013. The SWG effectiveness subgroup is making strategic adjustments to the 2013 list of six topics and associated questions based on the current portfolio of studies and the lessons learned in previous solicitation rounds and study implementation. The list is posted below as an attachment to the June 2013 letter to Ecology.
Fifteen studies addressing the questions for several of the six final June 2013 topics have been funded through contributions from municipal stormwater NPDES permittees to Stormwater Action Monitoring (SAM), the regional stormwater monitoring program.
The 2013 list is the result of an extensive process to recommend study topics and questions. The spreadsheet posted below shows most of the ranking approach and information used to compile more than 170 ideas from permittees and others. The 170 ideas were condensed into a single prioritized list of 22 recommended effectiveness study topics and associated questions. This list was approved by the SWG in September 2011. This initial list is posted below for context and as a reference to inform future processes. In 2013 the SWG revised the initial list after considering new information about the first dozen or so topics on the 2011 list.
