Insurance for students cost Euro 50-60 for these official insurances. There are some private insurances which cost around 30-40 euro , but you have to confirm from University whether they accept it or not.

As or the health and travel insurance is concerned, you can have it done from any travel agent or insurance company. So if you go to any agent you will get this policy at the same price and it is acceptable.

Travel Health Insurance

The health insurance embassy is asking for is actually Travel Health insurance. For this purpose there is a package offered by Hampshire titled as "Travel Pak" and there are three categories in it. The cheapest is valid for students which is around 4000 rupees. Some times agents try to sell the expensive one. Most of the travel agents in Pakistan have got the brouchers for it.

Health Insurance System

For the medical insurance system, you are issued an eCard (plastic card with a microprocessor on it) that you have to take it with you every time you visit a doctor. You can select any regular doctor close to your location who accepts your insurance company. You can visit the doctor as often as you need to with 10 euro cost. This amount is valid for one quarter. If you want, you can change the doctor. You have to pay for the medicine at the Apotheke (Medicine Store). When you want to visit a medical specialist, you would need a 'recommendation slip' from your doctor.
