I. BASIC POLICIES

1. All POC employees shall be given the opportunity to undergo at least one planned learning and development intervention during the year.

2. Learning and Development Program refers to activities aimed at enhancing career programs and personnel growth which include trainings, seminars, workshops, conferences and conventions.

3. There shall be no discrimination in the availment of trainings, and other learning and development intervention of POC officials and employees on account of gender identity, sexual orientation, age, civil status, physical disability, religion, ethnicity or political affiliation, economic and social status.

4. Attendance to trainings, seminars, conventions and workshop, learning and development are subject for consent of the supervisor and Division Chief. Final approval of application is subject to the Medical Center Chief.

5. The L & D implementer or the Professional Education and Training Office (PET) shall ensure equal, adequate, safe participation and gender balance among participants and learners.

6. L & D resources shall be distributed fairly, appropriately and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
