PDF Printing

PrintAble now supports printing PDF files (for the full version only), but there are some limitations:

    • The PDF will be printed using the default settings for the printer you select. If you want to print on a certain page size, or duplex, you will need to modify the default printer settings on the PC running PrintAble server.

    • If you do want to be able to select different printer options, one workaround is to add the same physical printer more than once to Windows, and set different defaults for each printer instance - for example, one printer could be colour and the other grayscale.

    • If you have problems printing PDF files, you might need to switch to custom PDF print command (see examples below)

Custom PDF print commands

Here are some custom commands for common PDF readers:

    1. Open the SkyDrive application on Windows Phone.

    3. When you are asked to choose an app to open the PDF with, select PrintAble.

    4. Select your printer and tap "Print".

From SD card

If there are certain PDF files you want to regularly print, you can use Windows to copy these files onto your phone's SD card.

    2. Select "SD card".

    3. Browse to the PDF you want to print, and tap "OK".
