SUMMER READING PROGRAM ACTIVITIES

THEME:  A UNIVERSE OF STORIES

Registration begins Saturday, June 22 and is ongoing through the summer. 

The program runs for six weeks and will include weekly prizes for reaching reading goals and other activities for all ages including Origami Club, Lego Club and Book Buddies.

Thursday, June 27, 2:00pm:  TOE JAM PUPPET BAND

Tuesday, July 9, 11:00am:  BOSTON BRUINS MASCOT “BLADES” VISIT

 Wednesday, July 24, 1:00pm:  CREATURE TEACHERS - Live animal program.

 Wednesday, August 7, 3:00pm:  ICE CREAM PARTY for Summer Reading participants.

 Thursday, August 15, 6:00pm:  LEGACY OF APOLLO - celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.  Presented by the Aldrich Astronomy Society.


BOOK BUDDIES


Tuesdays, beginning June 25, 6:00-7:00pm
Also these dates in July:  2, 9, 16, 23, & 30

The program is designed to allow children to practice their reading skills by reading to a "Book Buddy", a canine listener (certified therapy dog), with its owner (a trained handler) to guide them.

Your child may sign up for one 15-minute session.  Please call the library to register, 978-464-2115.
