After the russian invasion of Ukraine, more than 3.5 million people are forced to seek protection in the Member States of the European Union.
This emergency requires immediate and exclusive measures in other areas that go beyond emergency action, such as asylum in the European Union, to promote and guarantee unimpeded integration and temporary residence.
EU Member States accept a large number of Ukrainians who are forced to flee from war.

Using temporary protection mechanism in accordance with the 2001/55/EC Directive, temporary protection status helps Ukrainians to find asylum in the European Union, immediately obtain the right to accommodate and work in EU countries, while having access to social services such as housing and health care.

Access to work and education requires both the support of Ukrainians in the EU to recognize their skills and qualifications, as well as to understand the Ukrainian education system and qualifications in EU organizations.
