Phytochemistry and Organic Synthesis Laboratory (POSL) is an Algerian research laboratory. It was created in 1998 by Prof. Dr. Abdelkrim CHERITI (POSL director). It got agreement from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Algeria) in 2000. It contains different groups of researchers in relation to the field of Phytochemistry, Organic Synthesis.

Our Mission

The main purpose of POSL is scientific research and development of knowledge and techniques in relation to the field of chemistry, health and environment. Most of POSL researches are published in high grade international journals as well as the participation in national and international scientific meetings.

POSL has fixed a research schedule to permit the realization of its objectives in the next few years, such us: the development and exploitation of new techniques in the domain of phytochemistry, ethnopharmacology, pharmacomodulation, urinary lithiasis, and elaboration of new procedures for phytoremediation, water treatment and analysis.

PhytoChem & BioSub Journal

On the basis of its research interests, POSL staff has established in 2007 the "PhytoChem & BioSub Journal" (ISSN 2170-1768), an international peer reviewed journal.
