Career Profile of Dorin Popa B. Sc., O.L.S., O.L.I.P.
During 2009-2025, Mr. Popa managed all aspects associated with cadastral/ topographical surveying, construction layout, estimation and client consultation for 1490 projects;
During 2007-2008 as a Consultant Professional Surveyor, Mr. Popa had successfully collaborated with prestigious survey companies such as C.E. Dotterill Ltd., Rabideau & Czerwinski, Clarke Wilkinson Alton Surveying, Hunt Survey, Tarasick McMillan Kubicki Ltd. in more than 360 projects.
Commissioned Ontario Land Surveyor on February, 2006;
Twenty years experience in Cadastral and Engineering Surveys within Canadian Land Survey Companies;
Over 20 years extensive background in surveying with all aspects of project management, fieldwork, calculations and drafting;
Bachelor Degree in Mining Topography (with Assessment of Education from University of Toronto), Certificates in Applied Digital Geography and GIS Ryerson University-Toronto, Certificate of Specialization in AutoCAD- C.A.A.T. Toronto, Certificate in Town Planning all of them evaluated by A.O.L.S. Academic and Experience Requirements Committee.
Proven abilities in AutoCAD, Land Desktop (release 1- 2009), Autodesk Survey (release 1-2009), Autodesk Civil 3D, ArcView 3.2, ArcGIS 9.
Proficiency to use total stations (Sokkia, Leica), robotics total station (Leica), G.P.S. (Sokkia, Leica).

Dorin now joins the ranks of over 700 Ontario Land Surveyors/Ontario Land Information Professionals who are responsible for the creation, maintenance and recording of land boundaries and parcels in the Province of Ontario. OLSs/OLIPs are also engaged in aerial photogrammetric mapping, hydrographic surveying of the beds of lakes and rivers, topographic surveying, geodetic surveying for precise determination of the shape of the Earth's surface and are involved in the development and maintenance of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) as Geographic information Managers."
