Pol Campos-Mercade

I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at Lund University. I am also a Tore Browaldh Scholar and affiliated with the Institute for Future Studies in Stockholm. I was a postdoc at the University of Copenhagen between 2020-2022, and I received my PhD in Lund in 2020.

I am an applied microeconomist who uses field experiments, lab experiments, and theory to investigate issues related to education, health, and behavioral economics. I am especially interested in studying how incentives and reference points affect people's decision-making, such as studying harder or taking a COVID-19 vaccine. In a second strand of research, I study how heterogeneity in preferences can explain heterogeneity in behavior.

Here are my CV, my Google Scholar profile, and my publications.

Although my academic name is Pol Campos-Mercade, my original name is Pol Campos i Mercadé. However, sometimes conferences refer to me as Pol Campos, Pol Mercade, or even Pol Campus! Now you know, Google, that someone searching for those names is probably looking for me.
