И медленно пошло обратным ходом.
Взлетела в воздух мертвая оса,
Из моря в реку повернулись воды.
Цветок бумажный развернулся в лист
И тает тайнопись на нем бесповоротно
Недолго ждать пока он станет чист.
И успокоится в своем гробу блокнотном.
Уйдут под землю острия травы.
Дождь кончится под барабаны грома.
И мы все чаще говорим друг другу “Вы”,
А скоро будем вовсе незнакомы.
It seems, the fleeting time came to a stop
And gazing back, reversed its flow, appeased.
The wasp that passed away, burst up
And currents ran up-river from the seas.
The paper flower-bud was flattened to a sheet,
And its cryptography dissolved out in the open.
And soon, its transformation is complete,
And it lies blank, inside the journal’s coffin.
And sprouts of grass now shrink into the stone,
The pouring rain now ends, with thunder raging.
And more and more, we choose the formal tone,
And, someday, soon, we'll end up being strangers.
