I was born in Moscow, Russia in 1983. Ten years later, in 1993, my family immigrated to New York City, where I grew up. I was scared to lose my roots and to forget the language, so I started reading everything I could find in Russian. Luckily for me, my father was really into Russian poetry and we had plenty of books in the house. This is how I discovered the poets that I now translate, and that is how I learned how to write poetry. Poetry has always been a rather private hobby for me and I find it amazing that there are those of you out there who find some value in my words. I thank you for visiting my website and I hope you enjoy what you find.
