Но притяжение своих позиций.
Сдавать не хочет. Будто крепкий трос
На поводке нас держит у границы.
И если лопнет лямка, то тогда
Как котики под лед вдвоем нырнем мы.
Пускай в один и тот же день умрем мы
И сбудется последняя мечта.
It seems that all grew tighter, interlocked,
Got coated with the thin ice of neglect.
No matter how we tried, we, both, got stuck
In our initial placements. To connect –
No longer seems the answer to our hopes.
But the attraction’s force will not concede
On its positions. It’s as if a rope
Restrains us, at the border, on a lead.
But if the strap should fail, under ice,
Like seals, we’ll freely dive together.
And should we die together - all the better, -
Our final wish will thus be realized.
