Посмотрели снегопад
от начала до конца.
Начинался невпопад –
крошки, пёрышки, пыльца,
а потом так припустил,
так сгустился над катком,
что ребёнок рот открыл
и ловил его, ловил
высунутым языком.
We watched the falling snow
until the final gust.
It started somewhat slow –
a crumb, a plumelet, dust,
and then it showed its might,
above the rink, it hung,
a child opened wide
and caught it in mid-flight
upon his stretching tongue.
