Как приятно качаться
Бездумно и плавно
На маразма просторах,
Ночью с мужем общаться
Активно, на равных,
Но не помнить, с которым.
Выходить по утрам,
Забывая одеться,
С безмятежной улыбкой,
Но событья мельчайшие
Раннего детства
Помнить памятью зыбкой.
И, встречая на кухне
Кота Филимона,
Улыбаться спокойно
И протягивать мясо
Ему церемонно,
Позабыв, что – покойный.
Как приятно качаться
Без мысли и воли,
Без проблем и отметин,
И, качаясь, кончаться,
Чтоб не было боли,
И уйти, не заметив...
It’s so pleasant, immersed,
To swing, idle and pure,
In the breadths of derangement,
As an equal, converse
With a husband, unsure
Of which one is adjacent.
To walk out of the door,
In the morning, undressed,
Blissfully unaware,
But have minor events
Of your youth be impressed
With meticulous care.
To greet Philip, the cat,
In the kitchen, at night,
With your mind at ease –
And to hand him the meat
With ceremonious pride,
Unaware, - he’s deceased.
To swing higher and higher,
Free of will and disdain,
And no worry detecting,
And, still higher, expire
With no feeling of pain,
And to go, unsuspecting…
