Keeping our community nice...
EVERGREEN UPKEEP
The upkeep of the front entrance area is important in portraying to residents as well as passers-by that we are committed to having a nice-looking community. This work is paid for by your dues to the association.
Our neighborhood presents, for the most part, a pleasing appearance, aside from a few covenant violations which the board continues to address. Two items that stand out and this is a consequence of the fact that our homes are starting to age, are the need for (1) pressure washing, and (2) mailbox upkeep. Rectifying the former is a bit more involved and costly but this is the sort of responsibility that we must accept as property owners.
The second item, mailbox upkeep, is quick, inexpensive and easy. A little cleaning compound and a rag will remove the green mess that adorns most of the white mailboxes. However, now that our mailboxes are ten or more years old, the hinges are starting to rust and the box will not remain closed. Being unsightly is not the only concern, rather than your mail is being exposed to the elements and perhaps to prying eyes. Replacement is the best solution, and can be accomplished rather cheaply. Please note that all mailboxes & posts must be white.
Well Maintained Yard
The Evergreen HOA Covenants Committee considers the community standards of a “well maintained” yard to be:
*Routinely mowed (once per week in the heavy growing season)
*Sidewalks and driveways routinely edged
*Grass and weeds in cracks in the sidewalks and driveways removed or killed by herbicide
*Shrubbery neatly trimmed
*Any part of the driveway visible from the street free from clutter
*Dead grass and shrubbery removed and/or replaced
Failure to comply with any or all the above community standards could result in a Covenants Violation. Repeated offenses could result in a hearing before the Covenants Committee and a possible fine.
BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR…...MAINTAIN YOUR YARD, WHILE PRESERVING YOURS AND ALL EVERGREEN HOMEOWNERS’ PROPERTY VALUE.
Covenant Violations are now being managed by Norton Community Management. If you have received a Violations Letter and need to discuss it then please contact them at evergreen@goncmgmt.com
