Welcome to the Shikanai lab @ Kyoto University

We are the cutting-edge research laboratory aiming to understand the environmental response and developmental mechanisms in relevance to photosynthesis. We deal with wide range of model plant organisms such as Arabidopsis, Oryza sativa, Zea mays, Chlamydomonas and Marchantia. We use multi-dimentional approaches including molecular genetics, physiology, biochemistry and cell biology to further understand the molecular machinery.
