Instructions for Taking PayPal & Web Specials Such as Google, Yelp, DoubleTake Deals, etc.
Customers may pay via PayPal at pflorist.com. When scrubbing those orders in RTI, please use the Pay type “PPAL.”
Make sure the customer address is complete, including zip code, then these customers will be assigned an account type 24.
We are also using the PPAL pay type for all prepurchased web offers.
If a customer has not yet purchased the deal on Google, Yelp, or DoubleTake Deals and they are just inquiring, tell them:
“I'll make it easy on you and give you the deal right now, no need to go back to that site and make the purchase.”
If so, enter the product exactly the way it is offered online.
EX: $75. flower arrangement for $50
Enter the product as $75, discount $25.00
At Pay Type, enter CC
Complete order just like any new customer.
If the customer has already purchased the deal online:
Enter the product as $75, discount $25.00 (or whatever the deal states). The customer has paid online for the product, but is required by law to pay the sales tax.
At Pay Type, enter PPAL. (note: All Prepaid Web Deals use the PPAL Pay Type)
At Customer Account, enter “ADD”. This will create a house account Type 24 for the customer.
Complete the rest of the information: address, phone, etc
Be sure to enter the Certificate Number in “Caller/PO.”
If the total exceeds the prepaid amount, return to F12 and change the Pay type from PPAL to S (Split)
The 1st type will be PPAL for the amount of the special $50.00
The 2nd type will be CC or C for the balance (any add-ons, delivery & sales tax)
If the order is being picked up in the store, return to F12 and enter WC (Will Call) as the pay type.
When they arrive in the store, change from WC to ST (Split Taken)
The 1st type will be PPAL for the amount of the special $50.00
The 2nd type will be CC or C for the balance (any add-ons, delivery & sales tax)
All deals will use the PPAL pay type.
