You are now about to become a playwright. Your task is to make a group of five people and start working on writing a screenplay which you will later use for your final performance. Don't worry, you're not going to invent your own script, but you will use one of the Shakespeare's plays as a background for rewriting it into a modern version - of course in English. You should consider which one of his plays would be the most fitting for your audience - it would be wise to choose some of his most well-known ones. But the choice is only up to you.
Each person in your group will be given a certain role. Your creativity and imagination are not bound to the limits. You can try to make it entertaining. And don't forget to cooperate, it is a team work!
Each person in a group will have their own unique role:
1) Writer - Your job is to rewrite the chosen play into a casual style of modern English (like how you communicate on a daily basis with your friends.)
2) Director - Your job is to give directions and assign the roles to the actors. Make sure that everything runs smoothly during the play!
3) Researcher - Your job is to find all necessary information in order to be able to pick a play and create the script.
4,5) Actor - Self explanatory, but the number of actors can of course differ, depending on the chosen play.
Note: If lost with your role, ask for help from your colleagues.
