Literary Webquest - new Shakespeare?

Welcome to the WebQuest where you will become a playwright for a while!

Description

Students are going to work in groups of five. Their task is to work together on one of the chosen Shakespeare's plays and the goal is to rewrite it into a modern English version. It is up to them which play they want to work on, however they should consider which of his plays would be the most interesting for the audience. They should be creative and not be afraid to use their own imagination - they can try to make it funny and entertaining. They will become playwrights and each of them will have a unique role. After that, they will use this screenplay to demonstrate it on playing the scene before the rest of the class. So they will also become "actors" and will have to learn the whole script correctly. This will help them to revise and practice the vocabulary, grammar and the required knowledge for the maturita exam.
