We at PEEL, IIT Bombay, are focusing on exploring and characterizing new or existing function materials, and fabricating various devices (i.e Thin film transistors, Solar cells, BioSensors and Memories) out of them ( Please look at sub-pages at the end of this web page for further details). Further, we are exploring Printing Methods (eg. Inkjet printing), which is a direct writing and cost-effective technique for the mass production of the devcies. We do not stop here but go one step further, where we do device simulations in order to both understand the complex microscopic phenomenon in the interior of the devices and obtain the clues about material selection and device design for enhanced performance.

The typical value chain for Plastic/organic electronics research looks like following diagram and our research involvement at PEEL, IIT Bombay is in the bottom three sub-areas (i.e. materials , devices and understanding physics).
