Storytelling is the core purpose of theatre and film. All stories are built from the same elements such as character, plot, and setting. Additionally, visual storytelling skills are critical for a theatrical designer and filmmaker.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Creativity is spurred by open interaction between people from different disciplines, be that within a larger field such as theatre or across different fields. Equally important for the individual artist is knowledge and interest across many subjects to provide material that can be synthesized to result in new ideas and approaches.
