2.7. Exhaust pipes

Mechanically exhaust pipes were in good condition. Just the way how they look wasn’t satisfying for me. This job was caused by esthetic reasons.

I used thermal paint to finish the job. Paint manufacturer claims that it can sustain the temperature up to 1000C. Few thousands km later I can say that paint is not peeling; it is changing color – especially on the manifold where temperature is the highest. Exhaust pipes under the engine block remain black. I like the cut-off at the connection between exhaust pipe and silencer.

Job done. Shiny silencer will come up next.
