This week we will be learning all about the long sound of the letter "u". There are 4 ways to spell the long u sound: u (unicorn), u_e (tube), _ew (chew), and _ue (glue).

Practice your spelling words every day. Don't forget to bring your spelling homework on Friday.
Take pictures of items that have the long u sound in their name. Post your pictures on Instagram. Use the names of the items you took a picture of as the caption. These pictures should be on your Instagram or your parents Instagram. In addition, write a sentence for 5 of those words. Remember to tag me on your post on Instagram (@mscardenas). Don't forget to use the hashtag #longu.
You will be creating a mind map using the different spellings of long u. Go to Text2MindMap and create a new mind map. If you don't remember how to create a chart go to the tutorials tab at the top of the page.
