About the PTO
PGAEL PTO Mission Statement:
To provide educational opportunities for Pine Grove Area Elementary (PGAEL) students in addition to what is funded through the school budget.
To enhance the educational outcomes of PGAEL by fostering support for the schools' educational objectives.
Things that we do...
Finance admission and transportation for all elementary school field trips for grades Kindergarten to 4th Grade.
Finance 3-4 school assemblies throughout the year.
Purchase one free book for each student during the Fall Book Fair, valued at $5 or less.
Organize and manage a Holiday Shopping Program for all students to purchase gifts for $2 or less for family members.
Provide a holiday gift valued at $2 for all students during the Holiday Shopping Program.
Organize a Spring & Fall Book Fair, bringing a mobile bookstore to the community.
Organize Family Nights and other community activities.
Contribute decorations for 4th Grade Graduation.
Host the annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.
PGAEL PTO is a volunteer 501c3 public charity and our mission is carried out through volunteerism and fundraising by the PGAEL PTO and community members on behalf of the children of PGAEL.
Funding comes from the fundraisers we organize throughout the year and donations. We are always looking for new people to do everything from stapling flyers, to setting up and working events, to calling local businesses. Your involvement can be for an hour or the entire year. We’re just thrilled to have you!
Our meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in the Elementary School Library at 6 pm. The meetings typically last about an hour. Your children are welcome to come along! The adults meet in the front of the room while the kids use the computers or play in the back. You do not have to come to the meetings to volunteer.
All PTO flyers will be printed on pink paper to help you recognize them. Keep an eye out for these pink papers and please “like” our Facebook page and join the email list to stay updated on opportunities to help.
