Here you can find my personal research interests.
I am member of the research group of Prof. Karol Mikula, here is a brief characteristic of our research interests:
The research group of Prof. Karol Mikula deals with numerical solutions of mathematical models described by partial differential equations that are used in several engineering applications like image processing and visualization, flow and transport problems, environmental science, geodesy and financial mathematics. The group consists of more than 10 researchers with long-term positions and more than 5 PhD. students at the Department of Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry of the Faculty of Engineering at Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Several members of the research group publish regularly in high quality scientific journals.
The group has its own parallel computing laboratory that is upgraded each year, currently with more than 200 CPUs and 1 TB of distributed memory, see information on Laboratory of parallel computing in science and technology (together with a list of recent scientific projects and selected publications). In years 2005-2009 the group of Prof. Mikula participated successfully in two EU projects, Embryomics and Bioemergencies.
