Join dozens of students from Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa Counties to compete in ASCE's Annual Engineering Encounters Bridge Design Contest!

When: Saturday, May 1st thru Sunday, May 16th

Where: Contest will now be held online due to the coronavirus.

Rules: The contest is open to grades 3-12. Elementary students may participate for fun/practice, while middle and high school students compete for prizes and for entry into the State-Level Competition. You may compete as an individual or team of two, noting that teams will split any prize earnings. The contest is to design a truss bridge that can support a truck at the lowest cost, using the Engineering Encounters Bridge Design Software. Below is a flyer with contest information and a PowerPoint Presentation that provides a tutorial on how to use the program.

Prizes: The top three winners from the middle and high school division will receive cash prizes of up to $100. First place from the middle and high school division will also be invited to compete at the virtual State Competition in July for an even bigger cash prize!
