Engineering Encounters Bridge Design Contest - May 20th at the West Florida Public Library (Downtown)

The Pensacola Branch of ASCE will be hosting the 2017 Engineering Encounters Bridge Design Contest on Saturday, May 20th for middle and high school students living in and around the Pensacola area. Individuals and teams of two may compete. The contest is to design a truss bridge that can support a truck at the lowest cost, using the Engineering Encounters Bridge Designer Software. Below is a Flyer with contest information and a PowerPoint Presentation that provides a tutorial on how to use the program.

When: Saturday, May 20th at 8:00 AM (Depending on the number of applicants, we may have an additional session in the afternoon)

Where: West Florida Public Library (Downtown), 239 N. Spring Street, Pensacola, FL 32502

Prizes: The top three winners from each category will receive cash prizes of up to $100. First place will also be invited to compete at the State Competition in Orlando on July 21, 2017.
