The Pensacola Branch of ASCE will be hosting the 2026 Engineering Encounters Bridge Design Contest for middle, and high school students living in and around the Pensacola area. Individuals and teams of two may compete. The contest is to design a truss bridge that can support a truck at the lowest cost, using the NEW cloud edition of the software.

The event will take place from February 24, 2026 to April 15, 2026 to complete the design of your bridge. The top 3 teams for high school and middle school will be announced prior to April 19, 2026.
Site Condition 88A must be used to design your bridge.

Cash prizes go to 1st ($200), 2nd ($100), and 3rd ($50) in each of the student categories.Â
