Quick Starting

Basic guide for PeakHMI, Getting started quick

If you haven't done so already download the demo from the peakHMI web site

1. Login

Username: Director

Default: {no password} OK

2. Setup “Communications” (Compatible external hardware devices)

Communications >> {Select Device}

Parameters for each device are stored to a device name

· PLC’s

· ODBC for Excel or Database connection

3. Setup points (data location on device)

Configuration >> Points

Sets up a Tag name to a specific data block inside the device

Note: PeakHMI uses “Points” for Bits, Integers and floating points etc but for “ASCII text” Peak HMI uses what they call Global Scripts.

3a. Global Scripts are found

Configuration >> Scripts >> Edit >> Script Globals

4. Setup Graphics (Display Pages)

Configuration >> Graphics >> New

This is where you interface with the collected data for processing
