I am mainly working as macro-econometrician on modelling various topics in (international) macroeconomics, and am mostly interested in modelling fiscal policy, spillover or productivity.
My research explains issues such as:
why countries stay in high debt and low growth
how spillover between markets affects policy in regions/countries
how risk and uncertainty affect policy decisions
I am an Assistant Professor at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and a visiting professor at the College of Europe, and Universiteit Gent. I have been working before at the Universitat de Barcelona, as a Marie Curie Fellow at AQR-IREA, and as Assistant Professor at VUB, after getting my PhD in Economics from the European University Institute in 2006.
