Although this seems like a long time ago now, it is what transpired since West Side Story began.
Here are the highlights from 2012-2014, focusing on expanded avenues in performing, writing & recording. And apparently singing, too.
Oct 2012 - Jan 2013 Paul was in Paris on tour with the European Broadway tour of West Side Story as principal & lead trumpet (same book, different roles). 185,000 people attended the shows there
Jan 2013 to date Paul has been swamped with writing arrangements for big bands, salsa groups, Gospel choir horn section, and a High Holiday arrangement for 3 shofars, solo voice, SATB choir and keyboards, and more. Clients from Los Angeles CA, Madison WI, Upstate NY for local performances and across the US & Canada
Feb 2013 Paul Gaspar instructed Eastman School of Trumpet Music Master Class
This was the second Paul has instructed James Thompson's Master class on improvisation and preppinng for life in the music biz
Feb 2013 Paul Gaspar featured soloist with Wycliffe Gordon (Hilton, NY)
Paul was the featured trumpet soloist with jazz trombonist & trumpeter Wycliffe Gordon.
Paul also sang a duet with Wycliffe on "Umbrella Man". Video & audio to follow. (both came out great btw)
March 2013 Paul Gaspar was lead trumpet with Orquesta Antonetti at the Vibe at Village Gate, Rochester, NY
Orquesta Antonetti performed "old school" salsa from the 1960's through the 1980's
with a 15-piece salsa group: 5 rhythm, 5 vocals, 5 horns, with guest musicians and vocalist from NYC.
Paul celebrated his 27th year as lead trumpet and arranger for Orquesta Antonetti earlier this year.
Fri April 26, 2013 Paul Gaspar will be performed with vocalist Gene Ferrari at the Hochstein Auditorium
Paul played trumpet in the Roger Eckers sextet with Las Vegas legend Gene Ferrari
April 2013 2nd Annual Rochester Musicians Hall of Fame
Paul arranged the opening Gospel number featuring Prime Time Funk
May 2013 Hogansburg, NY Casino (Near Quebec)
Paul played trumpet with Prime Time Funk for the grand opening celebration of their new hotel
May 2013 Paul Gaspar toured with "The Rat Pack" Joe Scalissi, Henry Prego & David Hayes (Ontario, Canada)
Paul played trumpet in a sextet with critically acclaimed vocalists Henry Prego (as Frank Sinatra), Joe Scalissi (as Dean Martin) and David Hayes (as Sammy Davis Jr.) in Hamilton, Lindsay and Niagra Falls, Ontario Ticket details to follow! Paul's writing is on this as well.

Paul Gaspar was the Music Director, lead trumpet, keyboardist and contractor for Elio Scaccio (from Baltimore), lead trumpet with "Dean Martin" (aka Joe Scalissi from Madison WI), and Music Director, keyboardist, "scream" trumpet and contractor for Poperazzi lead by George DeMott from Las Vegas.
June 10, 2013 to May 2014: Paul returns to Eurpoe on tour with the European Broadway tour of West Side Story as principal / lead trumpet.
Tour begins in the world renown opera house Teatro San Carlo in Napoli, Italy augmented with the opera house's FANTASTIC full orchestra. Claudio & Marco are superb trumpeters!
