After learning basic HTML coding practices on my own, I have created over thirty different versions of a personal website that has been online in one form or another since 1996. I then had the opportunity to take a college course in proper and professional web design using XHTML Strict coding with CSS stylings. This allowed me to revamp the structure, programming methodology, and content of my website. I eventually decided to seperate out the professional aspects of my existing website and create this independent version. The end result went live on my college's web server in 2008. This version of the website has been revamped for use with Google Sites.
Programmed in validated Transitional XHTML 1.0, CSS, and PHP, this website is the embodiment of simple, yet proper design techniques. My former website did not adhere to these standards, nor did it offer content appropriate for a professional presentation. I am currently in the process of redesigning that website as well. It has much more content and will take a lot longer to complete. When finished, however, it will cater wonderfully to an audience of family and friends.
