Freedom Fighter for Liberation of Goa, Journalist, Writer of 18 books was associated with several organizations as National Congress of Goa, PSP, Seva Dal, Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, Sane Guruji Katha Mala, The Goa Hindu Association, Founder Member of Goa Union of Journalist & Goa Marathi Patrakar Sangh, Pratibha Friends Circle.
Laxmidas Krishna Borkar born as Dattaram Krishna Borkar on 17 August 1925 at Paniwada, Borim, Goa
1930 - 1943 Schooling Marathi Primary
1935 - 1941 Lyceum in 7 years
1943 - Commenced work for Liberation of Goa
1946 - Executive Committee member of the Goa Congress Committee (Bombay Branch)
18th June 1946 - Accompanied Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia in a buggy from Republic Hotel, Margao to Old Bus Stand, Margao. Arrested & detained in Margao Police station.
7th November 1946 - Offered Satyagraha at Shiroda along with Roque Sequeira protesting against curb on civil liberties and delivered a speech. On marching towards Borim by a huge procession he was arrested and procession were fired at for the first time in Goa. Detained in police custody for 9 days and released clean shaven on 16th November 1946.
8th December 1946 - Offered Satyagraha at Ponda along with Anand Naik. Arrested, beaten and released.
Detained five times for canvassing support for the civil disobedience movement & Warrant of arrest had been issued against him for his writing in favour of intensification of freedom struggle.
1947 - Proceeded to Mumbai via Belgaum and was office secretary of National Congress of Goa.
1 January 1948 - Interviewed Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi on "Goa Topic" as National Congress of Goa representative
4 Jan 1948 - Joined Loksatta as sub editor in Sasson Dock, Colaba Mumbai
1950- Treasurer of National Congress of Goa (Bombay Branch)
1954 - Selected as Goan People's representative to sign representation before the International Court of Justice at Hague.
18th May 1955 - Offered Satyagraha at Castle Rock under leadership of Barrister Nath Pai for suspension of railway traffic to Goa.
7 May 1956 - married Sindhu Mangaonkar in Mumbai.
1958 - President of National Congress of Goa (Bombay Branch)
1963 - Joined as a Staff Correspondent of Express Group of Papers - Lokasatta, Indian Express, Financial Express & Screen in Panaji, Goa
1965 - Relocated to Loksatta as Chief Sub Editor in Mumbai
1965 - Commenced association with Sane Guruji Kathamala.
1966 - Membership of The Goa Hindu Association
1970- News Editor - Loksatta in Mumbai
1971 -Visited Rostock & Berlin East Germany & Moscow, Russia as part of Journalist delegation.
