Molar Mass of a Gas

Purpose: To determine the molar mass of a gas

The following measurements were taken before and/or after draining a the gas of a disposable lighter into a 1.L graduated cylinder.

Mass of the Full Lighter

Volume of Gas Collected

Atmospheric Pressure

Temperature of water bath

Mass of the Empty Lighter

After the experiment, the contents of the lighter were ignited.
