I am Mrs. Santiago the computer teacher at Addison Elementary School. I have been working here for 12 years. I really enjoy working with children and computers. I love the children's enthusiasm for learning how to use technology and how technology is all around us. I have created a special computer lab learning experience for each grade I teach. "The Panther lab is where learning and technology meet! "
I am the Elementary Student Council Advisor and I LOVE helping with our "Family Science Nights" and helping Mrs. Black with her wonderful music programs. I am also the High School National Honor Society Advisor with Mrs. Comstock.
I am retired from the Army. I served 20 years active duty of which I traveled all over the world. I earned an Associates Degree in Technology and worked around computers my entire military career. After retiring I went back to college to earn my Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Education Leadership.
Family
I have been married for 30 years, my husband is also retired from the military and now works as a bus driver here at Addison. We have two girls Katrina and Wendy. My oldest daughter Katrina is a Respiratory Therapist and Wendy graduated from Michigan State University (ROTC) and is now a 2LT in the Army working as an army nurse. Both of my girls are married to two of the most wonderful guys! So Katrina and Kent were married on New Years Eve 2012 and Wendy and Brett were married on August 10, 2013. I now am the proud grandma of a beautiful grand daughter Miss Emmalynn Katherine Miles.
Me
In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my family playing games. I like playing on the computer most of the time and making T-shirt quilts and making homemade cards.
