Quick Update from Salta, Argentina

Just another quick update for now. I got to Salta, Argentina two days ago, unfortunately on a Saturday night, so I had to wait until today (Monday) to do my errands. I'll be heading out tomorrow to do a loop through some purportedly fantastic scenery and to the towns of Cafayate and Cachi - it should take from a week to a week and a half. When I get around to writing my next full blog entry (it's coming, honest...), I'll go into detail about my Andes crossing from San Pedro to here. In short, I did it in 11 days - largely thanks to the many passing motorists and tour groups who gave me food and water, allowing me to take my time and enjoy the surroundings, which I'll have to classify as some of the best of the trip. My three-plus weeks off, along with the high altitude, dirt roads and cold nights of the high Andes made it a challenging, but totally worthwhile section. As with my last photo album, but this time due to the especially slow internet connection here, I've been unable to label my latest photos.
