SCHOOL YEAR CLASSES
Cheer Classes will begin after school resumes in August and run until the end of the school year.
All cheer classes are offered weekly on Thursday, and the $60 tuition is for 4 classes. December is prorated for only 3 classes at $45 due to the holidays.
Students also enrolled in the PAC after-school program receive a $10 discount on their monthly cheer tuition.
Flexibility: Necessary for jumps, kicks, splits and backbends. We encourage stretching daily
Strength: Core, leg, and arm strength for stunting, tumbling, and jumps. Homework: Plank daily
Endurance: Cheerleading routines are fast-paced—cardio fitness helps a lot!
Coordination: Sharp motions and clean routines require good body control.
Motions: cheer motions (high V, low V, T, etc.) and keeping them tight and sharp.
Jumps: Toe touches, pikes, hurdlers, and herkies in sequence
Stunting: you’ll learn the roles (base, flyer, back spot) and the basics of balance and timing.
Tumbling: Cartwheels, round-offs, back walkovers, or even back handsprings
Cheering & Chanting: Loud, clear voice and good rhythm.
Facial Expressions: Smiling and engaging the crowd is key.
Confidence: Performing in front of crowds takes energy and self-assurance. We will encourage you so you "feel good to do good"
