Cub Scout Summer Camp

What? Summer camp! For Cub Scout summer camp, we do a weekend campout in a tent with all the things you'd expect at a scout summer camp. Swimming, climbing, crafts, meals in a cafeteria, boating, exploring, skits and campfires. 

Where? Camp Phillipo is located in Canon Falls Minnesota. 30600 32nd Avenue Way Cannon Falls, MN 55009

When? Our pack goes as a group to summer camp on Fathers Day weekend. We leave in the evening on Friday June 14th. We come back Sunday June 16th after lunch. 

What to expect at Camp: This is a typical schedule.

FRIDAY June 14th 2024

• 6:00 pm Check In/Registration

• 7:00 pm Camp Tour/Emergency Drill

SATURDAY June 15th 2024

• 7:30 am Breakfast

• 8:50 am Opening Flag Ceremony

• 9:00 am Morning Rotations - move around camp doing age appropriate activities. Each activity is about 60 minutes long.

• 12:00 pm Lunch

• 2:00 pm Afternoon Rotations

• 5:30 pm Dinner

• 7:00 pm Free Time/Sign Up Programs - sign up for your favorite activities like boating, climbing, pool, shooting sports!

• 8:00 pm Evening Campfire Program

• 9:00 pm Campsite Time

SUNDAY June 16th 2024

• 7:30 am Breakfast

• 8:50 am Opening Flag Ceremony

• 9:00 am Morning Rotations

• 12:00 pm Closing Ceremony

• 12:30 pm Lunch / Check Out

• 3:00 pm Outpost Begins (must be pre-registered)

- We camp overnight two nights together but you are only required to bring something to sleep in (sleeping bag or blankets) as wall tents over wooden platforms with spring loaded cots and plastic mattresses are available for every scout/adult combo that wants one (no set up required). If you prefer your own tent feel free to bring that too.

- The expectation is that each scout will bring their own adult and they will drive to Phillipo Scout Reservation in Cannon Falls on their own for the weekend

- There is a pool with lifeguards and a swim test is required to use the deep part but there is space for scouts unable to pass the beginners test to enjoy as well.

- Health forms that will need to be filled out prior to attending - details will be sent to those who signup. Also, northern star council is looking into alternatives since doctors visits are limited at this time.
