Pack 737 was established in 1954, making us one of the oldest Cub Scout packs in Maryland. Our Chartered Organization is the 5th District Fire Department in Clarksville. Pack 737 is made up primarily of families from the Clarksville Elementary and Glenelg Country Schools, though all students are welcome.
We usually have two Thursday evening meetings a month, plus special events:
One Den meeting - where Scouts are split into groups by age to complete an adventure in areas such as: Personal Fitness, First Aid, Personal Safety, or Citizenship,
One Pack meeting - with all K-5 scouts together, to recognize achievements and learn from each other,
One Pack or District special event, often on a weekend, such as the Pinewood Derby, a hike or campout.
Cub Scouting helps boys and girls:
Develop a way to choose between “right” and “wrong”
Learn new physical and mental skills, work as a team
Gain personal independence and confidence
Do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do!
Cub Scouting helps parents:
Spend quality time with their children and peers
Become involved in the community as a family
