Lion Program

The Lion program was introduced to Cub Scouts to give kindergarten-aged youth the opportunity to begin their Scouting journey. Pack 44 was proud to serve as a Warwick pilot site when the program was first launched. Lions explore the core values of Scouting, including character development, leadership, personal fitness, and citizenship, through fun, hands-on activities designed specifically for young children and their families. At the end of the Lion year, Scouts proudly "graduate" to the Tiger rank and continue their adventure through Cub Scouting.

Our Lion Cub program offers exciting indoor and outdoor adventures designed for kindergarten-aged youth and their adult partner. Lions enjoy a simplified schedule, meeting just twice each month: one traditional den meeting and one adventure-focused activity. From exploring the outdoors to learning new skills and making friends, the Lion program provides a welcoming introduction to the excitement and adventure of Scouting.

Families can sign up via the Pack 44 online sign-up form and can start participating in Pack activities in August.  Official Lion meetings typically start mid-September.
