Fun. Adventure. Values.
Cub scouting is an opportunity for boys and girls to associate with their peers and discover the world around them through hands-on experiences. Scouting stands for honesty, integrity, character and courage. Austin, TX's Cub Scout Pack 446 has been around since 1972. We are part of the Boy Scouts of America Capital Area Council, Thunderbird District in Austin, Texas. The Pack is sponsored by Mount Olive Lutheran Church and has members from Oak Hill Elementary School and the surrounding area.
Cub Scouts is a parent volunteer-led organization. All parents and guardians are encouraged to reach out to learn more about our open leadership positions.
Cub Scouts Sign-up Night:
Thursday, August 28th, 2025 @ 6pm,
Oak Hill Elementary School blacktop
Cub Scout Pack 446 will be hosting an info session on August 28th, at the OHE basketball courts to share this year’s exciting plans and sign-up any new and interested scouts. This school year, the pack will have 3 outdoor camping trips, an overnight experience on the USS Lexington, along with Soapbox Derby and Pinewood Derby events. This will be a very exciting year to enjoy the outdoors, and we welcome all new scouts (boys & girls) first grade and older. Contact pack446.atx@gmail.com for more information.
Pack meetings are held on the 3rd Thursdays of the month at 6:30pm at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
Dens are broken up by grade level. Den meetings occur weekly or biweekly and are scheduled by den leader and parents at the beginning of each school year.
At these meetings, we complete activities to earn Adventures to advance to the next rank. You can find more info on the Scouting America site.

Our Pack organizes 3-4 outdoor campouts each year. In the past few years, we've visited Camp Mabry, McKinney Falls, Pedernales Falls, Smilin' V, Camp Tom Wooten and more! Scouts participate in setting up the campsite; preparing and serving meals; archery & bb range; fishing; model rockets; leather stamping; and more!
Each year, we organize an end-of-year campout for a unique experience. In the past few years, we've had overnight experiences on the USS Lexington, NASA Space Center in Houston, San Antonio Zoo, Waco Zoo, and San Marcos river.
