Welcome to Pack 33

Announcements, announcements, annouuuuunnnnceeeements...

TRADEOREE was a huge success! Check out some pictures below, and mark your calendars for next year. Every scout who came walked away with a bag of patches and full bellies!

Our spring camping trip is scheduled for the weekend of April 26th at Camp Barstow in Batesburg, SC. There’s no fee to attend the spring camping trip at Camp Barstow, as it’s included in your biannual dues.

In many ways Camp Barstow resembles other familiar Scout Camps like Belk, Bud Schiele, and Grimes : There are lots of opportunities for hiking, fishing, flag ceremonies, campfire skits, and more. But when it comes to sleeping accommodations, Camp Barstow arguably outshines these much-loved NC institutions. Barstow campsites feature Adirondack bunk houses - small three sided shelters which give youth the chance to camp together as a group. These Adirondack shelters have plenty of electrical outlets, and there are separate shelters for adults. Of course, Barstow campsites have plenty of room for tents and hammocks, too, and on the back of each Adirondack is a covered hammock sleeping area with posts to hang up to six hammocks.

Pack 33 will be camping in sites 1 through 4 ( see the attached map ) which gives us plenty of breathing room and privacy, and will allow all of our pack’s girl dens to camp together in one site.

Camp Barstow is just over two hours away from Charlotte - it’s located at 218 Ruby Riser Rd., Batesburg, SC 29006.

Remember that, to attend the spring camping trip, you’ll need to complete parts A and B of the BSA Medical Form. The pack requires an updated form each year, and this simple, yet very important step ensures our group will enjoy a safe, fun experience in the outdoors.
