Hello! I am Ovishek Morshed, a passionate scientist with a deep enthusiasm for science and technology. My academic journey began with a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2017. My curiosity to explore the world of light with endless possibilities drove me to pursue higher studies in the field of optics. In 2020, I obtained my M.S. in Optics from the University of Rochester, where I later pursued my Ph.D.
During my research journey, I recognized a gap between technical expertise and business acumen in innovation, which inspired me to develop skills to bridge this gap. This led me to complete a second master's degree in Technical Entrepreneurship and Management from the same institution. I completed my Ph.D. in Optics from the University of Rochester in 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Todd D. Krauss. My research focused on exploring the photophysical properties of light–matter quasiparticles, known as exciton–polaritons, with the aim of unlocking novel quantum applications and facilitating new chemical reaction pathways.
I am currently working as an Engineer in the Advanced Mask Development (AMD) group at Micron Technology, Inc., driven by a passion for excelling in a dynamic environment that fosters next-generation technological innovations. My role involves developing and supporting the production flow by optimizing Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) recipes in a collaborative, cross-functional environment to enhance wafer pattern fidelity, continuously improving processes and software tools, while developing new functionalities and resolving critical production issues.
