Past Projects

These are some of the past projects and jobs depicting the diverse land stewardship John is capable of accomplishing.

Check Point Ranch owned by Keith Ward, Nine Mile Creek Missoula County. The ranch is under a conservation easement with Missoula County Open Space and administered by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Ottman Forestry assisted in a land stewardship project to maintain elk calving areas within Keith's timberland base.

Grady Ranch, Lewis Clark County. This ranch is under a conservation easement with the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks. Ottman Forestry assisted in a land stewardship project with MFWP on improving the health and size of Aspen stands.

Triple 8 Ranch, within Montana, owned by fashion designer Liz Claiborne and her husband Art Ortenberg. This ranch is currently under a conservation easement with the Montana Land Reliance and the Wildlife Federation. Ottman Forestry is assisting in an ongoing Ponderosa Pine restoration project.
