A Midwinter Night's Cream

What?

Pictures from album A Midwinter Night's Cream

A Midsummer Night's Cream was a cabaret featuring the many and varied talents of OCP members past, present and probably future. The show featured the talents of Dave Vermond, Nick Hall, Andy Aitchison, Adrian Burns, Va Va Vache, Michael Wood, Mark Tunnicliffe, Franco Roberto, Kevin Collier, Jason Swales, Brian Fileman, Lucy Nuttgens, Meg Morton, Karen Oxley, Steve Morris, Dudley Nixon, Karen Lewis and Gary Stokes. Produced by Ruth Shakespeare, with the assistance of Richard Sabey and Kevin Collier.

Why?

We've recently tended to do a lavish summer show, which loses money because of all the rehearsal costs and costumes, and a shorter show around the Otley Victorian Fayre (early December). In recent years the winter show has made more money than it costs to produce, so has made up for our summer over-extravagance.

In 2006, we didn't do a winter show because many of us were involved in the much larger community play "It's The Law", and, besides, It's The Law nicked our slot at the Courthouse. So we had to compensate our treasurer for the exquisite costumes from the previous summer's She Stoops to Conquer.

A Midsummer Night's Cream was a shameless fundraiser for the summer 2007 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. We hope it was great fun for all, because it was great fun for us!
