Overview of public safety agencies in Oregon
fire services are provided by fire districts, citys, maybe 1 or 2 county FDs, some regional FDs, Oregon State Forestry, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, US Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, military, and maybe some logging companys - some of the Oregon State Forestry districts are served by Forest Protection Associations which might be funded by a combination of state, federal, and private funding
ambulance services are provided at the local level and perhaps by a couple of counties - some are public - some are private - Crater Lake Natl Park might operate their own ambulance - there might be 1 or 2 military ambulance services in Oregon also
medevac services are provided by private services and non profit services
wilderness search and rescue services are provided by volunteer agencies organized under county sheriffs iirc
each county typically has one 911 center - except in the Portland area
police services are provided by citys, county sheriffs, state police, ?state game wardens?, state ?park rangers?, and some federal law enforcement officers
